After much deliberation, we have three winners of the Rainmaker API Challenge, out of a pool of 12 great entries. We’ve been incredibly impressed with the amount of work and the quality of apps that have come out of the challenge!
3rd Place - InstaGallery
InstaGallery is very well-designed and is a different, more visual take on the Rainmaker API.
2nd Place – Rainchecker
Rainchecker was developed by Soe Thiha. It installs as a Chrome extension (Firefox and Safari will be supported shortly) and lets you hover over an email address on any website to see what information about that person the Rainmaker API can provide.
1st Place – Enforcery
Enforcery is a CRM developed by Zvi Band and Jeff Carbonella that combines the power of Google Apps, Gmail and the Rainmaker API to automatically add and keep new contacts up to date. Enforcery emails you a few questions about newly added contacts that you simply reply to and their system does the rest of the work!
Enforcery is our winner and a great implementation of Rainmaker’s API. It also uses SendGrid to send emails.
Congratulations to the team at Enforcery!
You have all won some fantastic prizes!
Thank you to all of the developers and teams who entered the Rainmaker API Challenge! It has been a lot of fun playing with and judging your entries.
Look for our next API Challenge beginning August 10th and running through the end of the month. You’ll have a chance to win some more cash and an iPad 2 so get your ideas ready! If you submitted and didn’t place, you can submit your App (with improvements) again!
We want to hear from you If you didn’t win this time around, post your Rainmaker app in the comments for the community to see. What did you like about this challenge? What didn’t you like? We want to make our API and developer ecosystem better for you!
